Dubai’s Falcon City to Replicate Giza Pyramids
While Egypt is threatening to penalise anyone copying artifacts of their cultural heritage, Dubai is planning a huge theme park that includes, a Great Wall of China, an Eiffel Tower, and the three Pyramids of Giza. They won’t be identical replicas, however, they will instead be even larger than the originals!
Falconcity landmarks to break many records

Dubai: Falconcity is aiming to break some records as some of its attractions are set to be bigger than the original landmarks.
With a total project value of Dh7.5 million and shaped like a falcon when seen from above, it incorporates not only residential units, hotels and a theme park, but there will also be imitations of world-famous landmarks.
These include the Eiffel Tower, Pyramids of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Venice, leaning tower of Pisa and the Taj Mahal. The Eiffel Tower is set to be 20 metres taller than the original in Paris. The largest pyramid will be approximately 40 storeys and 150 metres high, slightly taller than Khufu’s, the largest of the three pyramids in Egypt.
Salem Al Moosa, Chairman of Falconcity said, “The Great Wall of China will stretch approximately 1.7 km but this figure could change depending on developments within the theme park.”
The wall will be higher than a three-storey building and when finished will be more than quadruple the length of an Olympic running track. The wall together with some dunes that are planned, will act as a noise buffer between the theme park and the residential area. The theme park will stretch over a massive 4 million square feet.
Al Moosa said that within the smallest pyramid, will be two museums that “honour the great civilisations of the world”.
“The theme park will be one of a kind with our own characters and our own movies as we also have a great civilisation. And in March we’re going to announce something big,” he said.
